For my journey back from Buenos Aires (EZE) to Mexico City (MEX), I flew Aeromexico Business Class aboard one of their Boeing 787 Dreamliners. This long‑haul route offers a comfortable transcontinental connection between Argentina and Mexico, and I was excited to experience Aeromexico’s premium service and onboard product – as this was a day flight. On my way to Buenos Aires, I had slept through the flight but now I was planning to indulge.

The Business Class seats on Aeromexico’s 787 are really lovely. Traveling alone, I chose a single window seat, which arcs slightly toward the window to provide full privacy — perfect for working, relaxing, or sleeping. If you’re traveling as a couple, the two middle seats make a great option. I really appreciate this reverse herringbone layout, as it combines comfort, privacy, and direct aisle access for every passenger.

When I arrived at my seat, a blanket, pillow, headphones, and a bottle of water were already in place, making it easy to settle in right away and get comfortable for the flight.

One downside was the in-flight entertainment system, which felt somewhat limited. While there’s a good selection of Hollywood and Latin American movies, options from other international regions were scarce, so variety-minded travelers might find it a bit narrow.

The seat itself is spacious and comfortable, giving plenty of room to stretch out. While I was settling in, the crew offered a pre-boarding glass of champagne, a nice touch that made me feel welcomed onboard right from the start.

The seat also offers plenty of small storage spaces in the side console and armrest, making it easy to keep personal items like phones, tablets, or books within reach throughout the flight.

The amenity kit on the return flight was lovely and thoughtfully designed, quite different from the one I received on the way to Buenos Aires. I especially liked the bright, reusable pouch, which I can easily imagine using again after the flight.

A free wifi code – but just for 2 hours.

Menu for the flight

For the main meal, I chose the braised short rib. I had pre-ordered a poke bowl before the flight, but it seems it didn’t make it through the Aeromexico IT system. Even so, the short rib was delicious and satisfying, so it turned out to be a very enjoyable meal despite the mix-up. Desert choices included eclairs, strawberries with cream or ice cream

There was also a second meal before landing, and the options were a wrap or a beef sandwich

Overall, flying Aeromexico Business Class on the 787 was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The spacious reverse-herringbone seat with ample storage, pre-set blanket, pillow, headphones, and water made settling in effortless, and the pre-boarding champagne was a lovely touch. The amenity kit and thoughtful touches added to the premium feel, and the braised short rib meal was satisfying despite a minor pre-order hiccup. While the entertainment options could be more diverse, the flight offered a relaxing and pleasant journey — a solid way to travel across Latin America in style.
