During my departure from Mexico City (MEX), I visited the Aeromexico Salón Premier Lounge in Terminal 2. While it is Aeromexico’s flagship lounge, the space feels crowded and cramped, especially during busy hours. Seating is limited, and the food and drink options are surprisingly sparse for a premium lounge, making it less impressive compared to other major airline lounges I’ve visited.

Thankfully, I found a nice place in the corner to relax

The drink options in the lounge are decent, including packaged coconut water, soft drinks, and beer, along with a small selection of other beverages.

This is the hot food center. The free food options were very limited, with choices like tortilla soup, mini burgers, pizza, and a few snacks. For anything more substantial, you can order à la carte. On the bright side, the lounge does make cocktails, and I enjoyed a refreshing Michelada, which was a nice touch amid the otherwise sparse food offerings.

If you’re looking to freshen up, showers are available in the spa center, but they need to be booked in advance. You may tip, which may help skip the queue, though this isn’t guaranteed.

Once inside, the showers are nice and spacious, which makes them a great option to feel refreshed before your flight.

Overall, the Aeromexico Salón Premier Lounge at Mexico City Terminal 2 is functional but falls short of expectations for a flagship lounge. It can get crowded and cramped, with limited free food options, though drink choices and made-to-order cocktails are a nice perk. The spacious showers in the spa center are a highlight, offering a refreshing break before your flight. While it serves its purpose for business class travelers, the lounge leaves room for improvement in both space and food offerings.
