Lufthansa offers an impressive selection of 14 lounges at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), catering to various travel needs and preferences. Whether you’re flying First Class, Business Class, or are a frequent flyer with Senator or HON Circle status, there’s a lounge for you.

Highlights include:

First Class Terminal – Exclusive, luxurious experience with private check-in, fine dining, and chauffeur service to your plane.
Senator Lounges – Spacious areas with premium food, drinks, and shower facilities.
Business Lounges – Comfortable seating, workstations, and buffet-style dining.
Welcome Lounges – For arrivals, offering showers and relaxation after a long flight.

With so many options, Lufthansa ensures a premium pre-flight experience, whether you’re looking to relax, work, or indulge.

As obtained from the Lufthansa website (on 15 May 2025), here is the map of all the lounges.

This review is about the Business lounge, close to the gates B44-48.

The Lufthansa Business Lounge near gates B44-B48 in Frankfurt Airport’s non-Schengen area is a spacious, bright retreat with floor-to-ceiling windows offering great views. Travelers can enjoy ample seating, a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, a well-stocked bar, and premium coffee options. The modern design and natural light create a relaxing atmosphere, while shower facilities add extra convenience for long-haul passengers. Whether you want to dine, work, or unwind before your flight, this lounge provides a comfortable and well-equipped experience.

The lounges are quite well marked. In the Area B, there are plenty of options – we just chose this lounge at it was close to our gate. We quickly checked the other lounge close to gates B20-28 and it looked very similar – in terms of layout and offerings.

You climb the stairs to the first floor, after the lounge attendant checks you in below.

This is a large, circular space with an open and airy layout, offering plenty of seating options for both relaxation and work. Travelers will find ample power outlets and USB ports throughout, making it easy to charge laptops and phones.

There are a few booths to have meetings or phone calls

Don’t miss the quieter back section (opposite the entrance), where there are even more seating options, often with great tarmac views and a more peaceful atmosphere.

Right next to the entrance there are lockers for your hand baggage

The sitting area has a few options – from comfortable couches to relax or dining table and chairs to grab a meal.

Floor to ceiling windows offers natural light setting, which is quite refreshing

The lounge offers a tasty selection of warm dishes, including hearty options like meatball curry, lentil curry, freshly baked breads, and comforting soups—perfect for a satisfying pre-flight meal. For lighter fare, there’s also a fresh salad bar to balance things out.

For the young guests there is a made to order pizza option

The lounge boasts an extensive drinks selection, featuring premium coffee machines, a variety of teas, soft drinks, and both draft and bottled beers. For those seeking something stronger, there’s also a well-stocked bar with top-shelf liquors, ensuring every traveler finds their perfect pour.

You’ll find two excellent whiskey options here—St. Kilian Classic, a smooth and approachable dram, and the St. Kilian Peated, my personal favorite with its rich, smoky character that lingers beautifully. That touch of peat makes it the perfect sip before a flight.

Also some non-alcoholic alcohol options, which were not yummy at all 🙁

A few sweet options for someone with a sweet tooth

The lounge’s showers are clean and well-maintained, offering a refreshing escape before your flight. I only had to wait about five minutes for one to become available—just enough time to grab a drink and unwind briefly before freshening up

The lounge delivers a well-rounded travel experience—spacious seating, quality dining, premium drinks (hello, St. Kilian whiskies!), and refreshing showers. Whether you’re working, dining, or simply unwinding, it’s a calm and comfortable oasis before your flight.
